In order to give our members more opportunities to study, we will be holding two online workshops as follows. As soon as the URL is created, we will send an email to each Chapter Presidents and Group Leaders. Details will also be posted on the overseas Special Member Page and Regular Members Page.

2025 Europe Ikenobo Membership Workshop / Exhibition in France and Austria

 

Here are the details of the next 2025 Ikenobo Membership Workshop in Europe. If you wish to attend the Workshop and Exhibition, please refer to the details below and fill in the application sheet. Please submit the application sheet to your Chapter or Study Group who will forward your application to the Ikenobo Society of Floral Art in Kyoto.

 

  • Ikenobo Bretagne-France Study Group and Ikenobo Austria Study Group will assist to hold the Workshops and Exhibition.

  • Please kindly note that participating in the Workshops and Exhibition, you must be a Special Member or Regular Member of Ikenobo Society of Floral Art and obtain the permission from your Chapter President or Group Leader.

  • In order to better promote Ikenobo ikebana to the public in Europe, Ikenobo Society of Floral Art decided to hold, in addition to Workshops, Exhibition and Demonstrations of Professor from Japan. Participants can choose to stay and display their ikebana to the public in the Exhibition. The professor from Japan will conduct the Exhibit and also present Demonstrations (both events open to the public, free of charge).

  • You have to arrange yourself flight / accommodation.

  • The max number of participants of the Workshops is 35 per day.

  • Application Deadline: 10:00 am July 15, 2025 (Japan time). Applications will be accepted in the order they are received and will cease once the limit of 35 per workshop is reached.

Oct. 22 (Wed.) Special Member Workshop (Shoka Introductory Curriculum)

Oct. 24 (Fri.) Regular Member Workshop (Free style)

Oct. 25 (Sat.) Preparation for the exhibition and professor’s demonstration

Oct. 26 (Sun.) Exhibition and professor’s demonstration

 

Time for the workshop:

09:00: Reception (only Oct. 15, 17 in France and Oct. 22, 24 in Austria)

09:30 – 12:00: Lecture and Demonstration of the Professor

12:00 – 13:00: Lunch

13:00 – 16:00: Practice and Correction by the Professor

16:00: End

 

  • The Workshops will be conducted by the Professor in Japanese and will be translated into English / French in France and German in Austria.

  • The certificate of attendance will be issued to Workshop participants.
